The CSWP recognizes that Gender Based Violence, Intimate Partner Violence, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls are pervasive issues which disproportionately affect women and girls in our community. Effectively combating these forms of violence requires a collaborative and comprehensive community-based approach, focused on victim support, prevention, advocacy, education, and a responsive justice system.

Family Violence Project

Launched in 2006, the FVP is collaboration of 9 multi-sector agencies working collectively to support victims, survivors, and families of GBV/IPV, while undertaking innovative initiatives to reduce family violence in Waterloo Region.

She is your neighbour podcast

She Is Your Neighbour

An awareness project and storytelling series created by Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region. The project explores the realities and complexities of domestic violence by sharing stories from people of all walks of life.

Early Intervention Program

A program designed to intervene prior to intimate partner disputes escalating to criminal charges. A police investigator and crisis outreach worker provide education, support referrals and safety planning.
